19th Annual D2GB Performing Arts Camp!
Thank You for an Incredible Summer!
For 19 years, R.Evolución Latina's Dare to Go Beyond (D2GB) Children's Performing Arts Camp has created a space where children and teens can discover the joy of the performing arts while building confidence, teamwork, and lifelong friendships.
This summer, 96 campers, ages 7–17, joined us for an unforgettable week of learning, creativity, and community.
Through dance, acting, singing, movement, and creative expression, campers challenged themselves, supported one another, and celebrated what can happen when everyone is encouraged to dream, create, and grow together.
Highlights of the week included:
-
96 Kids & Teens — exploring dance, theater, spoken word, and singing
-
20+ Broadway & NYC Teaching Artists
- We were honored to welcome Melissa Barrera, currently appearing in Titanique, who shared her personal journey, answered campers' questions, and encouraged them to continue believing in themselves and pursuing their passions.
-
Core Values in Action — every lesson reinforced respect, teamwork, leadership, commitment, and self-awareness
-
Community Celebration — a special day at Dorney Park with performances on the main stage, families, and friends
-
Inclusive Environment — campers built confidence, friendships, and a true sense of belonging
-
Future Leaders Empowered — nurturing creativity and leadership within the Latinx community and beyond

Performing for the Community
At the end of the week, campers presented highlights of what they had learned during a joyful outdoor performance in Harlem.
Families, friends, and community members celebrated the campers' hard work, confidence, and creativity in a beautiful afternoon filled with music, movement, and smiles.
Dorney Park Celebration
To close our week, campers and their families enjoyed a special day at Dorney Park.
For the third consecutive year, Dorney Park welcomed R.Evolución Latina to perform on their stage before everyone spent the rest of the day enjoying the park together.
Thank you, Dorney Park, for your continued partnership and generosity.
It Takes a Village
Programs like D2GB are possible because of an incredible community.
Thank you to our teaching artists, volunteers, assistants, families, donors, partners, and supporters who dedicate their time, talent, and generosity to creating meaningful experiences for children every summer.
Together, you help create a place where every camper feels welcomed, encouraged, and celebrated.
Looking Ahead
As we celebrate 19 years of Dare to Go Beyond Camp, we're already looking ahead to a very special milestone. Summer 2027 marks our 20th Anniversary! We can't wait to celebrate two decades of inspiring children, strengthening communities, and using the arts to help young people discover their potential. We hope to see you next summer!
